An NUS Extra card is separate to your Student ID; even though your student ID may have the NUS logo on it it is just proof that you are part of the NUS, and does not give you the same discounts that the NUS Extra card gives.

And just having a card that you can, theoretically, only have when you're a student carries virtually no weight at all.) Even if …

8/20/2010 · Depends where you want the discount. Some places will accept your 6th form ID card if you have one, some are funny/awkward and demand an NUS card, which costs £10. Alternatively get yourself a free UCAS card, which isn't quite as widely accepted as NUS.

7/22/2013 · My 17 year old DS has a NUS student union discount card which does the ID job and gives discounts at lots of places. I think it cost about £10 but has repaid that in pizza hut discounts. They do send it to school or college though. I guess this is a way to prove they are a student. I am sure the school / college will be well used to the process.
